8th Meeting of The ASEAN Working Group On The System Of National Accounts (WGSNA8)

Malaysia, through the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) as the Chair of the ASEAN Working Group on the System of National Accounts (WGSNA) for the 2021-2024 term, will host the 8th Meeting of the ASEAN WGSNA from 11 to 12 September 2024 at Pulse Grande Hotel, Putrajaya, Malaysia.
The meeting aims to discuss, among other topics, the progress of harmonising and enhancing national accounts indicators; the implementation of the WGSNA multi-year work plan, particularly regarding the effectiveness of national accounts data sharing and dissemination; and the preparations for the dissemination of ASEAN GDP by Expenditure, including improvements to the data submission template.
The meeting will also provide updates and discussions on the implementation of the operational guidelines of ASEAN SNA 2008 and progress on the development of SNA 2025; national accounts data quality assessment; the implementation of capacity-building activities under the ASEAN-Help-ASEAN Framework (AHAF); and the development of the post-2025 WGSNA multi-year plan.Let's strive for a better tomorrow for the ACSS!
