???? During the evening session of Day 3 at #UN55SC, Malaysia wholeheartedly supported, provided insightful suggestions, and contributed valuable opinions on crucial agenda items. The oral statement of Malaysia is as follows:
???? Item 5(f): ICP
???????? Statement: Malaysia actively endorses the implementation of the International Comparison Program (ICP) and anticipates the release of the ICP 2021 results in early 2024. The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) supports the ICP2021 programs and is dedicated to meeting the timeframe set by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Malaysia commits to participating in the ICP 2024 cycle, using it as the benchmark year and adhering to the current ICP cycle's implementation approach. Plans for the 2024 ICP cycle involve initiating implementation in Q1 2024, with surveys scheduled for 2024 and 2025, focusing on the reference year 2024. Malaysia recognizes the value of the e-learning course on Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) Fundamentals and other research materials available on the ICP website. Additionally, Malaysia acknowledges the utility of ICP data for various indicators.
