The meeting led by Mr. Wan Mohd Shahrulnizam, Senior Director of Population and Demographic Statistics Division, DOSM, discussed the future direction of China-ASEAN cooperation in the field of statistics. DOSM recognises and celebrates China's remarkable initiative, especially the GBS and GXUFE, to invite ASEAN members to participate in the ASEAN-China Statistics Forum. GBS & GXUFE's dedication to fostering this forum is not only admirable but also essential for the prosperity and advancement of both of our countries. The ASEAN-China Statistics Forum has effectively facilitated the exchange of best practices and enhanced our statistical capabilities among participating nations. This platform has provided a valuable space for insightful discussions and collaborative learning. Countries such as Malaysia have significantly benefited from these exchanges, resulting in a notable increase in knowledge and proficiency across various statistical domains.
