Supply and Utilization Accounts of Selected Agricultural Commodities, Malaysia, 2012 covers 28 selected agricultural commodities for the period 2007 to 2011. All 23 commodities in the past publication are retained with additiional five items from fisheries. The compilation of the Supply and Utilization Accounts (SUA) tables is based on the concepts and methodology outlined by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Data for this publication is sourced internally within the Department as well as related agricultural agencies. The data is compiled in SUA tables to portray a comprehensive picture of the related commodities. Based on the tables, several agricultural indicators such as self-sufficiency ratio (SSR), per capita consumption (PCC) and import dependency ratio (IDR) have been derived.
