This publication contains the Import and Export Price Indices compiled using 2005 as the base year.  The import price index measures the changes over time in the price paid by importer for goods imported into Malaysia. 

The export price index which is published for the first time is an output-based index that measures the changes over time in the prices of goods received by exporters for goods exported outside Malaysia.

The import and export price indices are early indicators to show the movement of Malaysian trade transactions.
