| This edition is the inaugural publication that combines the Monthly Statistical Bulletin Malaysia, Monthly Statistical Bulletin Sabah and Monthly Statistical Bulletin Sarawak into a single bulletin of Monthly Statistical Bulletin Malaysia. The statistics was compiled on monthly and quarterly basis. The Monthly Statistical Bulletin serves as a useful and convenient reference on the socio-economic situation of the country. | The Malaysia Standard Industrial Classification 2008 (MSIC 2008) Version 1.0 serves as a common framework for the collection and compilation of industry statistics from different sources thus facilitating comparisons of data. This publication is an update from the Malaysia Standard Industrial Classification 2000 (MSIC 2000) which has been used as the main reference classification for all economic and household censuses and surveys carried out by the Department of Statistics. The MSIC 2008 Version 1.0 conforms closely to the latest International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC), that is Revision 4, published by the United Nations, thus enabling international comparisons.

| This report presents findings of the economic profile of the micro, small and medium enterprises based on information canvassed though a baseline Census of Establishments and Enterprises in 2005, with reference to year 2003. TheF census covered three major sectors of the economy namely, manufacturing, services and agriculture. This publication contains data of establishments canvassed in the three sectors. Data on output, value added, employment, financing which focuses on sources of financing and type of credit facilities of SMEs can be obtained from this report. | ||||
