The Domestic Tourism Survey 2012 report presents data on the profile and characteristics of domestic visitors for 2012. Information obtained from the survey includes expenditure and travelling patterns of visitors, type of trips and states most visited. Data from this survey serve as inputs in the compilation of the Tourism Satellite Accounts and also for analysis by users.
  
This report contains three sections. The first section of the report describes the summary findings of the survey in 2012. The second section focuses on the technical aspects of the survey, including scope and coverage, definitions and concepts used as well as operational procedures. Detailed statistical tables are included in the third section of the report.
