NATIONAL ACCOUNTS GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT |
 | This publication presents the estimates of National Production and Expenditure Accounts for the second quarter of 2013 and the quarterly estimates from the year 2010 to 2012. The estimates are compiled by production activity and type of expenditure based on the recommendations of System of National Accounts 1993 and 2008 (1993 & 2008 SNA), United Nations. The statistics were aligned based on the finalised data for the year 2010. Meanwhile, the data for 2011 and 2012 have been revised in line with the revision of annual data for the respective years. Highlights of the Malaysia's economy for the second quarter 2013 are provided in the first part of the publication. Brief notes on methodology, concepts, definitions, sources of data and selected macroeconomic indicators are available in this publication to facilitate greater understanding of the national accounts estimates.
