Household

HOUSEHOLD

A household consists of related and/or unrelated persons who usually live together and make the common provisions for food and other essentials of living.

Household Characteristics (HH):

A household can comprise of several members or may be a single member only.
A household makes provision for food from part of their pooled resources and makes the same preparation for other basic essential needs.
Persons in a household (HH) may be related or unrelated or a combination of both; and
Each Living Quarters is normally occupied by a household. However, sometimes a Living Quarters may be occupied by more than one household.
